A variety show and costume party featuring performances and art from the odder edges of the Capital Region scene. Hosted by cartoonist Ira Marcks, performances include poetry and Tarot readings from Karyn Katrina Kharisma Dyer, poetry from Sarah Rose, live music from Front Biz, comic reading from Jess Fink, burlesque by Pop Culture Provocateurs, video art by Scum Couch, dance by Lavender Alert, storytelling from Richard Lovrich, a DJ/dance afterparty and more! After over 10 years of crafting beer, building community, and making incredible memories, our time at this space has ended. While we’ve faced our share of obstacles, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and beyond grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey. Our last day of business was April 13.

Through the years, we’ve had so much fun—hosting incredible bands, unforgettable events, and, most importantly, building a community that has meant everything to us. We can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us, stuck by our side, and shared in this adventure through the good, the great, and the tough times. Your support has meant the world to us, and we appreciate you more than we can say.

To everyone who has worked with us, for us, and had fun with us along the way—thank you. You’ve made Rare Form what it is, and we’re forever grateful.

As for what’s next? We’re searching for a new home, but until we find the right space, Rare Form will take a pause. This isn’t goodbye forever — just a break.
